Detoxification
How important is the colon cleanse product?
Extremely! During the detoxification process, toxic chemicals are being converted to water soluble molecules which are then excreted via your liquid and solid waste. Because of the amount of toxins that are moving through your digestive tract, it is normal to become constipated during detox.
However, if you are not eliminating daily, the toxins have no exit route from the body and they will merely be reabsorbed. Not only could you begin to feel worse, but this totally defeats the purpose of detox. So, use of the Colon Cleanse product to keep things “moving” is essential.
Everyone’s digestive system is different and for some people, a stronger colon support product may be necessary. If things are a bit sluggish for you, effort should be made to avoid chemical laxatives which are sold over-the-counter. Taking an additional “chelated” magnesium supplement at bedtime may be helpful. Also, incorporating a fiber supplement and probiotics (good bacteria) on a daily basis is also beneficial.

Can I extend the detoxification component beyond the suggested 3 weeks?
Yes! It is important to understand that detoxification is a “process” and not a one-time event. Depending upon your level of toxicity, a longer cleansing period may be required. Because of the simplicity and efficacy of this program, extending your detox phase from 1 to 3 months is acceptable.
Can I continue to take other supplements as well as my prescription medications?
You may continue or suspend the use of other dietary supplements under the guidance of your nutrition coach or wellness practitioner. Do continue to take any medically prescribed pharmaceuticals. Questions related to the use of prescriptions should be directed to your personal health care practitioner.
While detoxing, will I be in the bathroom all day?
It is recommended that you to consume plenty of water in an effort to flush toxins from your system. As a result of the increased water intake, you are likely to urinate more often than usual on this program.
Can I skip the detoxification component of this program? Is detox really that important to weight-release?
Detoxification is a crucial part of any solid wellness program. In fact, most mainstream weight-loss programs fail because they first fail to detoxify the cells of the body which harbor chemical poisons such as pesticides, herbicides and industrial chemicals that enter the body through the air, water and food. Stored toxins often prevent the release of fat from the cells. By removing the toxins first, it opens the door for healthy fat-burning without chemical poisons being released back into circulation and the potential for negative symptoms to surface. It is not uncommon to lose 12-15 pounds during the detoxification component of the program.
I have never completed a detoxification program before? Will I feel any adverse symptoms?
The detoxification component is designed to be gentle and easy to follow. The Liver Cleanse product effectively supports the body’s internal detoxification pathways and allows the liver to gently cleanse with little to no discomfort. Headaches may be realized in some cases, not due to the detoxification process, but merely from withdrawal from foods such as coffee (caffeine) or sugar.
ProfilePlate
How is the ProfilePlate different from USDA MyPlate?
Unbeknownst to many, our government is providing incorrect advice on how to eat. No wonder we have a health crisis in our country. The USDA communicates that “fat is bad” and that “starchy carbs (from grains)” are good. This is why the MyPlate heavily promotes the intake of grains and breads and excludes all fats – even the good ones that our body requires.
The truth is that fat – not carbohydrates – is the preferred fuel of human metabolism and is the key factor for sustained weight-release. The TymPlates Nutrition System places a strong emphasis on consuming good fats, as identified by the blue section of the ProfilePlate. Additionally, during the Metabolic Reset phase, all grains are eliminated from the diet.

When using my ProfilePlate, how high can I stack my meat?
Effort should be made to place food within the color-coded sections on your plate. Animal protein is limited to one piece per meal – which should be about the height of your hand when it is placed palm-side down.
Is my ProfilePlate microwaveble?
Your customized ProfilePlate should NOT be heated in a microwave or conventional oven.

How important is exercise during this program?

Can I follow a vegetarian or vegan diet and still use this system?
The TymPlates Nutrition System promotes the consumption of balanced meals which incorporate the three primary food groups – lean protein, carbohydrates, and good fats. The body requires all three food groups every day to carry out numerous biochemical functions; so to restrict any one category would be detrimental to one’s health. Meatless/vegetarian dining is not promoted. Instead, the TymPlates Nutrition System encourages a low-glycemic eating plan which contains a moderate amount of carbohydrates from healthy food sources.
Will I be hungry on this program?
While your caloric intake will likely decrease with the use of the TymPlates Nutrition System, you will be eating wholesome foods and snacks throughout the day which should be more satisfying.
Metabolic Profiling
Once determined, will my profile change?
Your metabolic profile is based upon genetics. So, just as one cannot change their DNA or life blueprint, your metabolic profile is static. Conscientious effort should be made to eat based upon your profile guidelines. Do note that daily stresses and environmental factors may have an impact on “what you feel like eating” and it is normal to deviate from eating according to your genetic profile from time to time.
How is metabolic profiling different than the blood type diet?
The truth of the matter is that your blood type has nothing to do with metabolism. Metabolism occurs on a cellular level and is fueled by energy. Because cells get energy from the food that you eat, it is important to focus in on the types of food that will initiate energy production on a cellular level. Ironically, one could be a blood type O whereby according to the Blood Typing Diet, meals high in grains are recommended, but they could also be a Protein Profile which suggests a high-protein diet. It is one’s metabolic profile which is most important for determining dietary needs.
Why us that I have never heard about metabolic profiling before?
The concept of biochemical individuality is not new; it can be traced back to the early 1900’s. The famous, Dr. Weston Price conducted research of cultures all over the world and found that people who adhere to their native diets were free of physical degeneration, structural deformities and disease. In contrast, Dr. Price found that physical deformities and chronic illness became rapidly apparent (within a single generation) when isolated cultures adopted modern eating habits and depart from their genetically-based nutritional requirements.
Unfortunately, the $50 billion U.S. diet industry is not really interested in sharing this truth with you. Instead, effort is placed on pushing products and potions which promote a “quick fix”.
The objective of the TymPlates Nutrition System is to provide meaningful education to teach you how to eat based upon your genetic body type and then to give you the “training wheels” to transition into this lifestyle.
