About TymPlates®
The TymPlates® Difference
The TymPlates® Nutrition System is unlike typical diet programs on the market because it is NOT a “one- size-fits-all” eating regimen. Rather, it is a comprehensive nutrition system encompassing nutrition education, dietary protocol, and complementary products designed to have a positive effect on dietary habits.
It is true that the science of nutrition – involving chemistry, biology, and physiology – is complex. We’ve simplified this science into essential facts (and colors) which has proven to be effective because we’ve combined four key nutritional concepts that are lacking in other diet-like products
Genetics play a large role in determining nutritional need. A FREE, on-line Metabolic Profile Assessment is incorporated to determine dietary needs based upon one’s personal body type. Macro food groups are calculated as a percentage of the overall foods consumed at lunch or dinner meals, as defined by portions on the plate.
Most Americans have unrealistic ideas about proper portion sizes, and most people will overeat if given large plates. The TymPlates® ProfilePlate™ offers a reduced 8.5”diameter eating space and portions are already predetermined and correlated to one’s specific metabolic profile.
High-glycemic foods trigger blood sugar spikes and are linked to weight-gain and diabetes. We identify these foods and explain how to avoid them.
A key secret to attaining optimal health and weight-release is combining food groups appropriately for best digestion and assimilation of nutrients. To achieve this, the TymPlates® Nutrition System promotes limiting meal prep to two of the color coded food groups.
What’s Genes Got to Do With It?
Our genetic make-up and rate of energy metabolism are primary factors as to why universal, one-size-fits-all diets do not work…at least for most people. Our nutritional needs vary. Some people need more protein, while others require more vegetable carbohydrates in order to feel energized, maintain an ideal weight, prevent disease, and achieve optimal health.
